If you blinked, you missed a coronation, three assassinations, two secret gold mines, one ghost, and enough palace drama to fill Madina Market. Here’s everything that has gone down in Masaase these past weeks
The whole drama began with Ntim Berima blackmailing Nana Akosua into silence while Baffuor shot his shot at the fiery Ama Okese, sparking instant tension between the families. Tekyi got captured, forcing Frema to move with precision just to stay alive in the palace full of prying eyes and loose tongues.
Prince Nana Kweku Bediako, everyone’s favourite “peace-time king,” was named successor and almost immediately met his death at the hands of an assassin many claim to be an insider.
Commander Adu went full Rambo, hunting the killer, and somehow the murder weapon ended up in Gyimah’s hut. Innocent or not, Gyimah was sentenced to death.
Then Ntim Berima turned up lifeless, too. Noblemen started shouting, “The palace can’t protect anybody!” Agyeman suspected a larger conspiracy and wouldn’t stop talking about it. In the chaos, unwilling Kofi Opoku got dragged to the throne while Nana Abena openly teamed up with Commander Adu – convinced he was the mastermind behind all the bodies dropping.
Rebels led by Tekyi used the mess to sharpen their knives. Frema bonded with Katari over shared pain, trade routes got sabotaged, plantations burned, and the Queen Mother begged for unity nobody wanted to give.
Antwi, digging on Asamoah land, literally struck gold – and started dreaming of buying his freedom and vanishing. Akosua handed him more power, blind to the fact that he was already one foot out the door. Princesses started sneaking out of the palace at night, past lovers resurfaced, and alliances flipped.
Just when Akosua thought she had everything under control, Adwoa Brago – the long-lost sister with a dangerous smile – rolled into town like a storm. Slave revolts simmered, palace tongues wagged nonstop, and suddenly every sister had a knife pointed at one another.
The tension is brewing as the plot weaves together in this masterpiece that has become a fan favourite. The chatter around the show is testament to the fact that keen eyes are following the drama and cannot wait to see it all come together.
